Aimee demonstrates outstanding commitment to both her own personal development and the learning of her students. She is already able to evidence significant impact on students and colleagues both at Keele and beyond.

Aimee's successes as a teacher in a higher education context are way beyond what I would ordinarily expect at her career stage. She has embraced opportunities to convene as well as deliver modules, worked extensively in a widening participation context, made outstanding contributions to Write Direction and has excelled in both lecturing and seminar teaching. Her achievements have rightly been recognised by the award of the prestigious and competitive Keele Excellence Award for Learning and Teaching (Early Career).
~ Dr Jonathon Shears, Senior Lecturer in English at Keele University
Aimee has given a lot of thought to the creation of an effective, supportive and inclusive learning environment, particularly with relation to her research on trans inclusivity and other inclusive and supportive pedagogies. I have observed her teaching and can confirm that in practice this supportive environment leads to open and friendly discourse (and thus a good atmosphere for learning).
~ Dr Rebecca Bowler, Lecturer in English at Keele University
Aimee started working with us as a Write Direction tutor in September 2019 and has been fantastic. It's been particularly interesting getting to learn more about Aimee's work around awareness of trans education, particularly through the conference she led on. Learning about this topic has really impacted on me and made me more considered in how I work with students.
~ Dr Christopher Little, Teaching Fellow and Learning Developer, Keele University
Aimee's positivity and enthusiasm for student support, passion for her subject matter and outstanding work ethic has made her an invaluable member of the Write Direction team. She has not only contributed to delivering an effective and supportive service for students but she has also undertaken several scholarly activities to help improve the service across the board. The report she produced in March 2020 has helped us to consider how we currently deliver our one-to-one coaching service but also how we can improve it for the future, both during and after the lockdown due to Covid-19.
~ Kizzy Beaumont, Former Learning Developer and Teaching Fellow at Keele University
As a 'mature' student, I do not have the same confidence or belief in myself as others. Aimee not only helped me academically but also instilled confidence in me, which means more than words could say!
